What's Next For Wheego

What's next for Wheego? Soon anyone will be able to obtain a Whip LiFe EV. This creature from the future has lithium iron phosphate batteries in its tech-pack. It's got a unibody frame and chassis from the Shuanghuan Auto Company in China. These parts are already impressively in use by a gas powered Noble known as "the Bubble."

The Revolution electric car and another known as ZAP have used this identical vehicle base. According to RTEV the parent company, the Wheego LiFe can go 100 miles on one charge. It has a top speed of 70 mph. The lithium-base iron phosphate battery pack can be charged from any standard 110 outlet or with a standard J1772 charging station. It hosts dual airbags, antilock brakes, power steering, power windows, power locks, heater and fm stereo. If you want, air conditioning is also available.

It costs about $32,995 which is a few hundred bucks over its closest competitor, the Nissan Leaf. Both EV's qualify for the government rebate of $7500 which drops that ticket down to $25,495 i.e.; competition with Toyota's Prius. Now you can see there is true political power in the public choice. A very big message can be sent into main-stream about the consumer's appreciation for electric as the energy choice preference. Especially when consumers begin to consistently pick the truly-electric over larger Corporation's like Nissan with the Leaf, or Toyota's Prius half-breed. Once on the market, it won't be long before there are many other five-seat EVs moving fast-down-the-highway. The LiFe also complies with Department of Transportation and Environmental Protection Agency standards. The Wheego Whip and LiFe share an identical shell.

The mission of Wheego is to serve the world by making it obvious that the benefits of electric car ownership by far outweigh the impending alternatives. The rational, intelligent approach is clearly to support the auto show around the planet, to support roll out of the Wheego cars and other EVs. Wheego doesn't aspire to be the biggest or fastest; it only wants to make safe, reliable, fun family products that bring our world into a softer, kinder future. There won't be any hype or exaggerations of capabilities, either. They want to inspire happy, smart advocates of electric vehicles.

This is the dawning cusp of this industry. It requires our attention and support. If any of us are serious about helping curb this nations careening head-on train wreck with the big oil industry, this is the way to more quickly affect gas prices, global warming trends and the aggressive political results that so deeply affect the world political spectrums. Our recent technological advances in battery and power storage technology have been significant. Consumers have already begun a wave of green popular movement trends, and this is the moment to push that big rolling "Wheego" right down over that goal line.

The perfect-storm causing Americans to take personal inventory of habits, preferences and choices is the present awareness of the macro events assuaging us from every direction. Using the power of the moment makes the difference if national dealership networks are to fill that middle-market gap at this perfect moment.

The industry has had to sit back and notice the reality that all-electric and PHEV cars have had subsequent growth that has exponentially surprised this industry. Get involved. You are the pioneer for the dawning light of the electric age.
